Currently playing with the Volley Forli in Series B2
The former Italian international Vigor Bovolenta died Saturday afternoon after suffering a heart attack while playing a game of volleyball Volleyball Series B2 with Forli in the field of Lube Macerata. Bovolenta, 37, fell dead on the track and could not be revived by emergency services.

It all happened in the third set of the match. Bovolenta was about to pull from the bottom line when it began to find evil. "I feel dizzy, I fall, help me," came to tell his teammates. He touched the left side near the heart and collapsed, told his colleagues.

Bovolenta, father of four children, joined the Italian team that won the silver medal at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, after a dramatic final in which Italy lost to Netherlands 3-2. Bovolenta was also key in the victory of the Italians in the European Championship 1995 in Greece and gained silver at Euro 2001. Moreover, had won three Champions League with Ravenna.
Again, a heart of an athlete returns to overwhelm international sport. This past weekend, the player Fabrice Muamba of Bolton survived a cardiac arrest she suffered during a meeting of the FA Cup, however, fared much better player than Bovolenta and now presents a remarkable recovery.
