From Copenhagen to the Copacabana Beach, Brazilians staged unforgettable images
Rio de Janeiro was crowned yesterday, shortly after 18:30 pm as the city chosen to host the 2016 Olympics. Thus ended the dream of Madrid bid and began his joy for the Brazilians who were raised in victory after removal of the three cities with which they competed: Madrid, Chicago and Tokyo.

On hearing the news, many Rio citizens, waiting for the outcome of the vote in Copenhagen since early morning, they began to celebrate that special moment to the rhythm of samba on the beach in Copacabana. At this beach, a major city, moved a stage with huge screens to follow the event throughout the day.
The first images of the celebration showed the joy that ran through the streets of the future Olympic city. Thousands of citizens took to the streets to celebrate the news. With the colors of their flag, green and yellow, and with much emotion in their hearts danced and sang in a day that insurance will not forget.
But this only happened in the Brazilian capital, in cities such as Salvador, Bahia citizens also showed their support and joy for being the future Olympic venue. This could see a group of children, to the rhythm of drums, carrying a banner that read "Rio 2016, we can."
Meanwhile, in Copenhagen, the Brazilian President Lula Da Silva, President of the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB), Carlos Arthur Nuzman, and former Brazilian footballer Pele could not hide their joy and emotion in tears, while carrying with pride the flag of Brazil.
Never before had held the Olympics in South America and even, at first was thought to be a point against which to 2014 Brazil will compete in the World Cup, Rio de Janeiro, eventually, be Olympic.
